Picked up one of my favorite books this morning- to jumpstart my Monday with intention- Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach. She referenced a Henry Wadsworth Longfellow poem, which at first struck me as not so profound or moving:


Let us be up and doing
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.

But as I read Sarah's response, I realized that these words might be just what I needed to ponder today- simple yet to the point- It is not good enough that I can daydream for days about the life I want- that I can envision success at my very fingertips. I must be actively working toward that life, even when that work seems to take more effort, more energy than I feel I can muster in that moment.

So, with no further procrastination, I will be up and doing!
